The manufacturer recommends to start the calibration with 20 yards, then move to 30 yards and finish up, but a customer recommended to start with 20, then proceed back to 40 to sight in the remainder of the pins to save a lot of time for micro adjustments and for getting the demanded accuracy faster. It saves a lot of time, because when sighting in pins for longer distances, you need to shoot a lot of arrows to get tight enough groups for making sure the sight is off and not the shooter – which would be you, in this case. The automatic calibration is a really big deal. The rails of this one appear to fall apart at first when making adjustments, but they reset into a tight position once you re-tighten them, so there is no problem in materials or construction.

Make sure that the 20 yards pin is dead on, as the accuracy of the following pins depends heavily on it! You also can do some final fine adjustments to each one manually, if you ‘d want to. This means that after you have calibrated the first pin to 20 yards and the second to 30 yards, it will calibrate the remaining three pins (40, 50, 60) for the longer distances on its own – and those are dead on. I would suggest a softer durometer rubber to the manufacturer. I have 3 fixed and 2 mechanical broadheads and there's ample room under the hood. Removal from and installation to the bow is very quiet, and the rope loop at the top is great.

Once the mods are done, this quiver is right on, and a real money saver. So while having to do this was no big deal for me, I really didn't expect to with an arrow quiver. In a lifetime of hunting, there's virtually no piece of gear that I haven't modified or tweaked to suit me, and if you spend time in the woods then you know what I'm talking about. Otherwise, it was far too difficult to get arrows into each slot, and even more importantly removing arrows is always a one-handed operation in a hunting situation and without removing some material this would have been difficult. I removed about 1/32" from each side of the 5 slots, top and bottom. Not losing sight of the fact that it's a 30-dollar quiver, it would've gotten 5 stars if I didn't have to trim down the arrow grippers.
